Marc Weinrick is a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine with certificates in Massage Therapy and Asian Body Therapy. In addition to these, he has completed studies at Midwest College of Oriental Medicine receiving a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition. He is an active member of the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ILLAOM), the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA). Marc is also a longtime student and teacher of martial arts.
Through his experience as a bodyworker, acupuncturist and the martial arts, Marc has become dedicated to the moderation (and ultimate relief) of all pain related conditions without the use of surgery or drugs. By utilizing stretching and strengthening exercises, trigger point therapy, deep tissue bodywork and acupuncture, Marc has fine-tuned his skills to successfully treat both chronic and acute painful conditions. Included in his treatments is an analysis of risk factors unique to each individual i.e, workplace/home environments, lifestyle and nutrition, as well as other contributing factors which can give rise to pain and dysfunction of the body.
In addition to his experience as a holistic health practitioner, Marc hold a Bachelors degree of Fine Arts in Oil Painting from Western Michigan University, and has displayed his work in numerous exhibitions and galleries. He has a passion for outdoor activities that is stemmed from his youth growing up in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. He is an avid world traveler who enjoys cooking, commuting by bike (year round), as well as gardening and home brewing.
