(NCCAOM) Diplomate in Acupuncture
Ann Reed is co-founder of Illinois Acupuncture Associates, Inc. and Point of Health Acupuncture. She is a licensed, board certified acupuncturist. She attended Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (MCOM) with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree. Ann is an active member of the American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) and of the Illinois Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ILAAOM).
Ann is particularly interested in complementary oncology, women's health, pain conditions and psycho-emotional disorders. She has completed additional specialized training in each of these areas including coursework with Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Ann honed her general diagnostic and therapeutic skills serving patients at MCOM’s nationally recognized free clinic located in the heart of downtown Chicago, Illinois. Ann’s acupuncture practice focuses on helping clients achieve and maintain whole-body health. She is committed to providing clients with advanced medicine that alleviates symptoms while eradicating the root cause of patients' diseases. In this way, Ann’s clients not only feel better—they are healthier.
Ann also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to founding Point of Health Acupuncture, she assisted in the management of technology start-ups and small businesses in Illinois and California, directing research, business development, operations, quality assurance, sales, and marketing. Most recently, she led in the development and operations of several nationally recognized programs for life sciences entrepreneurs, middle and high school students, and teachers.
